Purim Carnival and M’gillah Reading

L’Taken
Our Hebrew High class had the opportunity to partake in the Bernard and Audre Rapoport L'Taken Social Justice Seminars for teens held in Washington, DC for four days of advocacy and action from December 9–12. Equity, diversity and inclusion have been common themes of discussion with our students in class. From our Pre-K student who learns with visual stimulus to our high school complex thought processors, each week in class affords them the opportunity to see how our differences make us stronger.

In October, our students learned about the end and beginning of the Jewish year and the lifecycle associated with it. Our youngest students created shofars of their own to mimic those blown in synagogue services on Rosh Hashanah and at the end of Yom Kippur.
