HIGH HOLY DAYS

L’Shanah tovah tikateivu! May you be inscribed for a good year.

Our High Holy Day services are right around the corner, and we hope you're just as excited as we are to come together! S'lichot is coming up on September 13, and Rosh HaShanah is soon to follow.

There is still plenty of time to mark your calendars and register for Rosh HaShanah and Yom Kippur passes if you aren't a member! Passes will be mailed to you if you register by the September 16 deadline. Register here!

If you're a member of Temple Beth El, you should have received your pass in the mail—if you haven't received the High Holy Day booklet, please contact the office. If you have family members in town that would also like to attend services, or if you are a member of another synagogue, please contact Teddy at frontdesk@tbetacoma.org about passes.

For the full schedule of services, non-member registration, Book of Remembrance submissions, and more information about the High Holy Day Food Drive, please visit the High Holy Day page of the TBE website.

OPPORTUNITIES

HIGH HOLY DAYS FOOD DRIVE

Food security is a huge concern in Pierce County, with 1 in 10 wondering where their next meal will come from. We encourage everyone to raise donations for the Emergency Food Network (EFN), a local program supporting this struggle. At our holiday services, and during September, you can collect a bag to fill with items the EFN has listed as most crucial (including non-perishables, feminine products, and baby care items). Alternatively, you can participate by making a monetary donation–every $1 you donate allows EFN to distribute 2 meals. Lend a hand in helping TBE raise our $5,000 goal by checking out our EFN page

HIGH HOLY DAYS CHILDCARE: DON'T MISS IT!

The deadline for childcare registration is Sunday, September 14 and reservations are mandatory. We are pleased to offer childcare for children ages six months through six years of age for several of our holiday services. The cost is $18 per child, per session. We will provide light snacks and activities to keep the kids engaged. For more information and to sign up, click here.

THE BUBBE BUDDIES PROGRAM

TBE members are invited to spend a special one-on-one reading session with our preschoolers, creating meaningful intergenerational connections and sharing the joy of storytelling. Each preschooler selects a book for their bubbe or zeyde to read, and thanks to generous contributions from PJ Library and temple families, they take their books home as a treasured keepsake. Join us in sharing stories, building community, and celebrating the joy of learning across generations! Sign up here. Q's? Reach Stacy Lappin at nslappin@yahoo.com.
