Friday: Erev Shabbat Service (Multi-access) Friday, November 1, 6:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to join us online or in person for an Erev Shabbat service. Join us before the service at 5:45 p.m. for an oneg sponsored by Marlene Motola and John Barnes in honor of their 40th wedding anniversary!

Saturday: Torah Study, Shabbat Service, and Bar Mitzvah of Jack Sagalovich (Multi-access) Saturday, November 2, 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. Our Saturday worship experience begins with Torah study from 9:00–9:45 a.m. This will be followed by services and the bar mitzvah of Jack Sagalovich, beginning at 10:00 a.m. (online and in person). The community is invited to join the family for a kiddush luncheon following the service. While you're here, please consider donating unopened packs of birthday candles for Jack's bar mitzvah project: baking homemade birthday cakes for kids in foster care!

Lamed Vav Speaker Series: "A Tale of a Whale and Other Marine Mammals" Thursday, November 14, 11:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Join us for an insightful talk about the Puget Sound's marine ecosystem, featuring Rus Higley, Director of Highline College's MaST Center Aquarium. He will discuss the troubling decline of our orca population, as well as educate us on common misconceptions about rescuing mammals on the beach. Additionally, Rus will share his experience leading transformations of deceased whales into educational skeleton displays. With over 20 years of work in marine biology and environmental science, Rus brings a wealth of knowledge to this important discussion! This is a free event sponsored by Lamed Vav. Associated Ministries Annual Interfaith Celebration of Gratitude Tuesday, November 26, 6:00 p.m. AM’s annual Interfaith Celebration of Gratitude service is one of the most exciting and unique interfaith gatherings each year. For 36 years this service has brought together people of many faith traditions to inspire each other by being together in grateful community. Cantorial Search Committee Feedback Request The Cantorial Search Committee is asking for feedback regarding the cantorial soloist, Raymond Zachary, who was hired for the High Holy Days. Judaica Shop Hours The Judaica shop will officially open on Friday, November 1, just before Shabbat service! Our regular hours are as follows:
Sundays: 9:45 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
Wednesdays: 4:30–6:30 p.m.
Fridays: 5:30–6:15 p.m.
We are still in need of volunteers to ensure the shop can always be open during regular hours. Please email Connie Person and Aubrey Sagalovich at judaica@tbetacoma.org to volunteer or to schedule a shopping appointment outside of our regular hours. We look forward to seeing you soon at the shop!
