Mishloach Manot: Caramel Crew
Wednesday, February 28, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Learn to create sweet creamy caramels by helping to stir, cut, wrap, and package, all while working and laughing (and maybe sampling) with others. Recipe provided. Understanding Israel & Gaza (ReformJudaism.org)

This educational program will cover the historical context of Israel and Gaza and the origins and ongoing development of the conflict. This special session will be taught over zoom by Rabbi Lawrence Englander, Rabbi Emeritus of Solel Congregation in Mississauga, Ontario and co-editor of The Fragile Dialogue: New Voices in Liberal Zionism. HFLA's Champagne Brunch

Come to HFLA's Champagne Brunch and enjoy mimosas, bagels, and warm blintzes at the Mercer Island Community Center. You can enter a raffle for exciting prizes, bid on getaway experiences, enter an auction for a dinner at Canlis restaurant, or just enjoy good company and good food, catered by Leah's Kosher Cooking. This event will include Rabbi Jay Levine as its keynote speaker. This is a ticketed event, fundraising in support of the programs that help our Jewish community across the state. Pesach Pottery Paint Party

Create a one-of-a-kind Miriam's Cup for your Passover Seder this year! Participants can choose from three different designs, and a mini cup will be available for our smaller hands to create. Items start at $30. Pottery will be processed, fired, and clear glazed by The Glaze House of Ruston Way in Tacoma. Finished Items will be ready for pick up by Sunday, March 24 at our Purim Carnival. Song as a Channel for Blessing with Batya Levine (Temple Beth Hatifiloh)

Drawing on the concept of aliyot - being called up to bless and be blessed by the chanting of the Torah—this program will interweave song with ritual in a co-created group space to call prayers into the song, and call the song into our prayers. This program will explore the concept of blessings, learn melodies, and have space to give and receive the blessing of song together. To register, click here. Jewish Book Club

Bubble Dance

Join us for snacks, mocktails, and a teen-created playlist. Havdalah begins at 5:00 p.m., and the dance will start at 5:15 p.m. Tickets are $5/person or $20/family.
