Description: This 6-hour class is an overview of the 12 years in which the Nazis were in power, with a focus on the experience of children. Approximately 1 million Jewish children died during the Holocaust. Survivors included those who experienced ghettoization, those who were hidden with Gentile neighbors, as well as those who were saved in various avenues of rescue. The course includes lectures, discussion, poetry, YouTube, journal writings of the times and testimonials as adults, art, photography and film.
